Taking its title from a sensationalist soap opera episode, El Club del SIDA (The AIDS Club) traces a lifetime of highly stigmatizing images about HIV and AIDS. Delgado employs multiple aesthetic styles—documentary, horror, and comedy—to explore the various relationships he has had with AIDS throughout his life. The work is part of the annual commissions produced by the organization Visual AIDS for the Day Without Art 2024 exhibition.
